3 Coffee Shops Worth Visiting Off The Las Vegas Strip

Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas!

I know I know… When you come to Vegas the last thing you want to do is leave the strip and let’s be honest… Considering you’re activities, you probably don’t have the energy to leave either. BUT, Vegas has so much to offer besides great night life. One of which is an amazing cup of joe! So, if you’ve been to Las Vegas before and you’re looking for something a little less “Vegas Traditional,” head to a different part of this crazy town and check out some brewtiful coffee shops! (See what I did there.)

#1 Makers & Finders Coffee

Located not far from Fremont Street is this urban, rustic coffee spot. My “go to” here is the lavender coconut milk latte. It’s seriously perfection. They use house-made lavender syrup and they’re good at giving you a little foam even if it’s made with coconut milk. What I really enjoy about Makers & Finders is that their flavoring is never too overwhelming. I like to be able to taste the coffee part of my coffee, even though sometimes I want to spice it up with a little extra something. So, if you’re having fun in downtown Las Vegas and you need a pick-me-up then Makers & Finders is your place!

Also, if you’re a fan of antiquing, there are tons of antique shops on the same street as M&F. Most of them are filled with 70’s retro Vegas type goodies. It’s fun to grab a warm cup of goodness and walk through the shops 😉

#2 Coffee Hunter

This was the first coffee shop I visited off the strip (besides a Starbucks) and it’s still one of my favorites. The coolest part about Coffee Hunter is that they have cold brew coffee ON TAP. What?! So cool! It looks like they’re pouring you a glass of Guinness but nope… even better. It’s coffee! They have lot’s of fun drinks on the menu like an espresso coke float, peanut butter honey latte and nitro cold brew (cold brew coffee infused with nitrogen to make it super smooth and creamy). Not to mention yummy goodies like waffle shots (mini chocolate lined waffle cones with espresso or another coffee), Kronuts (croissant doughnuts), scones and canelles. Of all the delicious options here, I usually get cold brew coffee with almond milk and dessert rose syrup over ice. I guess I’m really in to flower flavor? If you’ve never tried anything with flower essence I’d recommend trying it here. Of all the people I’ve recommended this drink to, no one has ever disliked it. If you’re ever in Henderson, which is about 15 minutes South of the strip, stop by Coffee Hunter and try something fun!

Side note – They also have beautiful local art on display that you are welcome to buy if you’re really diggin’ it!

#3 Grouchy John’s Coffee Shop

Also located in Henderson, Grouchy John’s is my favorite coffee shop in the area. First off, all of the people that work here are amazing. There is a 24 hour drive through but if you go inside to order, once your drink is ready they walk it out to you instead of passing it over the bar. They are so personable with all of their costumers! As far as the menu goes, there’s pretty much nothing that Grouchy John’s can’t make you. They’ve got blended drinks, iced drinks, hot drinks, specialty coffee, smoothies and even some little things to nibble on. I came here with a friend that doesn’t drink coffee and they asked her what kind of flavor she was in to… they ended up making her a hot cocoa with almond milk, peanut butter and banana. She wouldn’t stop talking about how yummy it was!

This is also the only coffee shop I’ve been to in Vegas that offers bulletproof coffee. Bulletproof coffee is made with certified clean coffee beans, grass-fed unsalted butter and brain octane oil. I’ll go into more detail about this special blend of ingredients and why it’s good for you in another post, but the fact that they had it here was super duper awesome. It’s a little spendy but every time I get it I feel like a hundred bucks!

So friends, even though Las Vegas is filled with amazing shows, beautiful hotels, yummy food, endless amounts of shopping and some of the worlds best nightclubs, there is another side to the city of sin. Try something new next time you’re there and remember… every adventure starts with a good cup of coffee 🙂
